Margaret's passing marked by memorial stone at Mautby

Fresh from his incarnation as Sir Thomas Paston at the Maids Head (see story below), PHS chair Rob Knee proceeded apace to Mautby, where he marked the creation of a memorial stone to Margaret Paston (nee Mautby) the leading figure in many of the Paston Letters, and writer of a good number of them. He is pictured speaking in the church. Also pictured is the memorial stone. Margaret was buried in the south aisle – an aisle that was later destroyed or collapsed.
